INVOLVS Calibration (Parameters menu)
Use this command in order to calibrate the INVOLVS (INVerse Optical LeVer Sensitivity) value used in the experiment. The involves value corresponds to the conversion factor between the deflection in Volt and in nanometer and reflects the position of the laser on the cantilever.
For the INVOLVS Calibration two markers have to be defined in between which a least square linear fit of all the points between the two markers is performed. Once two markers have been defined and the user moves to the next file, PUNIAS will prompt if the new calibrated INVOLVS value has to be accepted or not. When the calibrated INVOLVS value is modified, it is immediately taken into account and the curves are plotted again.
If the INVOLVS value has not been set in the experimental file, PUNIAS will show up a window asking the user if he wants to perform an INVOLVS Calibration or introduce manually a new INVOLVS value. In the case the set INVOLVS value is zero, the INVOLVS Value window will be displayed until the INVOLVS value is set to a value different from zero.
